SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (SATREPS)

SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development) is a Japanese government program that promotes international joint research targeting global issues. The program is a collaboration between two Japanese government agencies: the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

This program is designed to promote international joint research in which both Japanese research institutions and those of recipient countries work together based upon the social needs in recipient countries.

A specific joint research structure must be well prepared between the research institution in the recipient country and those in Japan that will undertake the joint research. The counterpart researcher on the Japanese side must submit research proposal through Japan Science and Technology (JST) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology (MEXT) Japan in Tokyo.

All applications must be submitted in hardcopy and softcopy (CD) to Pn Salina (37806), RMC before 12th October 2014 (Sunday).
